I miss the semi-good ol' days when you could "poke" someone on Facebook and no one knew what the hell it meant, not even Cluckerberg.

Love your posts, btw. I also say Weapons and loved it. Even Gladys' gross make up is similar to Trump. 🤣

I don't know how old you are, but everything you described about yourself and your patterns above sounds exactly like me...and ADHD. Could you have it? I learned late in life that I do, and it's helped me tremendously to know. The endless ideas (and attempts to document them for later) and the challenges with procrastination and following through really sound just like me, and I am also a writer. If you want any support in exploring this more, just let me know.

YES! I'm 39, and I didn't know I had ADHD until about a year and a half ago. I'm also among the group of women who learned that later in life. But it has helped me tremendously, and I wouldn't be where I am with my writing if I was still so confused by my own brain and also without the meds tbh.

Thank you so much for this lovely comment and the offer of support. I shared my endless idea curse with the hope that it would make all of us feel less alone. 💞

The beginning of this post is actually a bit of a follow-up to an essay I wrote earlier this summer about finding out I have ADHD and how it impacted my writing. Here's the link if you're interested: https://www.burnitalldown.com/p/summers-hottest-trend-crashing-out
